I worked on an Arduino project with another artist, Yinghong Yuan, on creating this ghost detector, a machine that can sense presence in the surroundings that is invisible to see through our eyes! The two servos detect readings around its surroundings so the more the servos moves and rotates, it shows something is there! The machine is connected to Processing to show a graph display of the detection radar level it reads from the rangefinder sensor. The higher the bar, the higher frequency of the presence being close by around the user. The artistic point of this machine is to help and think whether ghosts are real and if they do truly wander around without us knowing because we cannot see them with our own eyes since they are invisible but at the same time, whether we can sense if they were here around us.
